I would have imagined all sorts of frightening scenarios.

When I called they said they knew he was in exams, so they could have sent a retracting email or at least called me to say ignore the first one!
That’s awful. I’ve had that happen on a normal school day, so I can just imagine how you’d have felt if you hadn’t dropped him off. My DS gets the bus and they called to say he hadn’t arrived. They tracked him down but didn’t let me know for a while, and even when they called me they didn’t start with a quick ‘don’t worry he’s here’, it was more like a long drawn out ‘oh, erm, so, we went to his classroom... blah blah blah ... ’.

So DD has tonsillitis and an ear infection, just what she needs this week.

That aside, Verdict so far this week is she found maths really tough, geography and physics ok, Spanish so so. English literature tomorrow and then that’s it until after half term and she’ll be around half way through.

Your poor daughter feeling ill, my daughter has just woken up with the worst sore throat and can’t swallow as it hurts so much, at least it’s only one exam this morning and then she can come home

Same, DS has planned his bladder emptying around it, he says he'd be mortified if he had to leave to use the loo - aren't kids funny!

He was flatly refusing any other fluids with breakfast this morning, I somehow managed to talk him into cereal!

😂🤣 I don’t think I’d manage without the loo for that long, but that’s probably my age! 🤦🏻

Verdict is in and he said they were really nice questions. There were certain things he didn’t want to come up and, thankfully, they didn’t. 👍🏻 So that’s it for him now until the Tuesday after half term. Hope everyone got on well today 🤞🏻

What a relief to be over for a while! Sounds like it went well. I haven’t heard from DS yet, he’s having to kill time until the bus home as I’m at work and can’t pick him up. Just Business tomorrow and then the break 😊

my son says English lit was fine , his school are doing a BBQ today for all the exam takers and we had to send in letters of encouragement which was quite nice I thought. Tomorrow he has tech and business.
