Hi! I have an ESTA that I am travelling on this week however just realised my job is incorrect as it had changed recently. Does it matter whether I change this or not? I can't see how to...

It won’t matter.

If I had a week to go I would definitely not be making any alterations to the esta. The question is simply there for identification purposes. The official does not know who you work for. If asked, and you won’t be ,say the name of the employer you put on your application form. They just want to know it is you.

There's only two things that you can amend on an approved ESTA - your email address and USA address.
Don't worry about it. There might be one chance in million that you're asked where you work at immigration. Just tell the truth. We've entered the USA around 18 times since ESTAs introduced in Jan 2009 and never once been asked an ESTA related question apart from a casual "Where are you folks heading?" which of course they know from your API. PS
Just like asking what your parent's names were. Joan's dad died in 1966 and they have absolutely no access to any database that can confirm the validity of her reply. Mick

I've never been asked where I work by US Immigration - just the more general "what do you do for a living?" to which you can give a general reply that does not name an employer.
Since getting Global Entry I've literally had no questioning other than "how long are you here for & purpose of your visit?". Two weeks, vacation. |

Don’t worry, the ESTA application has gotten worse since a Trump took over. Never been asked where I work.
