Universal Express Pass

Just a quick question. If we buy a one day park hopper ticket with an Express Pass can the pass be used in both parks on the same day? Checked the T&C on the Unversal web site but can’t seem to find the answer.

Many thanks

By definition a park hopper means that you can move between parks, so if it is only a 1 day ticket, then you should have access to both parks on that day.

As far as I remember, the Express Pass has to be bought per park, however I could be remembering incorrectly...

You can get Express Pass for either or both parks so it all depends on what you bought.

If you get it via the hotel it's bath parks (don't know about volcano bay)
previously you could by a pass for 1 park or both but looking at the site they only appear to offer 1 park express passes for sale

Yes and no.

They have express passes that you buy (or if stay at deluxe hotel) that shortens the queue time and they now have virtual queues on some of their rides where you get a ticket to come back at a latter time (the same as the old disney method, before they allowed on-line at 30/60 days). These tends to be on the newer rides (Jimmy Fallon and Fast and Furious - but those rides don't have long queues anyway) and Volcano Bay.

They do not have a scheme where you book a fastpass 30 days in advance and to be honest Universal's scheme seems to be much better for crowd control.

You can definitely get a ticket that is a one day hopper with ultimate express for both parks - we get it every year (last got it in Sept) and you can go on each ride as many times as you like. Some of the one park versions you can only ride each ride with express once.
