I watched it last night. It was good to see how they all got on but thought it was very sad that the mum announced that she had lymphoma return and thought that it had started again during the show. I wasn’t too keen on the husband and wife team until the last leg but found she was very honest and quite funny when recalling how she felt. It was very good to see what happened whilst they were at the checkpoints and how they bonded so well together.

Yes, that was sad, she did well to go as far as she did, she must have felt rotten. I can't say I took to any of them except Mother and son.

down through Africa?

Algiers (or maybe start northern Spain with a quick hop to Algiers) to Cape Town not sure on routes/safety/actual bus connections?

be quiet a trip and the hardest one yet i would imagine

Wales. Getting from top to bottom but only using public buses. Should take months.

I feel your pain 😂 I’m always amazed at how people manage to travel whole continents by bus when comparing to our local Welsh service

My actual thoughts for the next series would be south east Asia, beautiful countries to travel through but also very challenging

I too warmed Jen much more in last nights episode. It was really sad that the mum announced her lymphoma had returned.

The I thought maybe India to Beijing - with the mandatory checkpoints could check off a number of countries. Or maybe following the trans Siberian trail. I have seen some suggesting Africa but would here be a safe route from say London to Cape Town?

I also warmed to Jen in the end. I think the tv probably locked onti her meltdowns and only showed that because it’s better TV.
