Thank you Stu, looks brilliant. I hope that they looked after you well!

Am I right in thinking that the ride vehicles all stay on one level (i.e. they follow approx the same track as the Great Movie Ride did). Watching the ride through the rooms themselves feel very reminiscent of the Great Movie Ride in their layout.

Cannot wait to try this one.

Yes the ride vehicle stays on one level, although a couple of visual effects give the impression of falling, such as the waterfall drop.
It does follow a very similar route to the great movie ride. The ride vehicles are trackless and don't stay in a line like a regular train, each ride carriage can move independently.
They have also added some rumble/vibration effects to each ride carriage.

Thank you - safe to ride then! I guess they had to use the same room layout as before as it really wasn't shut for that long. Cannot wait to see it in person.

I have booked it twice and SDD once for my next trip. I was beginning to think I should have booked SDD twice but I am glad I did not now, Tim Tracker also made the point about seeing different things each time so I am glad I will have at least two turns on this. It looks great.

Oh Stu thats a fantastic write up, I felt like I was actually on the ride! You have now made me want to go back again sooner than we had planned - I SO want to do that ride.

We rode this on day two and it was a lot of fun. I felt like I wanted to ride it again to catch all the bits we missed the first time. It has elements of ratatouille but I am so glad it doesn’t use 3D glasses and Disney seem to be moving away from that. My biggest “concern” was the use of the new cartoon style for the characters which I don’t like but it didn’t take anything away from the ride. With the new look seems to have come a bit more of a kooky loony toons like personality rather than the sweet clubhouse style Mickey and it is needed to make this ride work because of the chaotic element.

Thoroughly enjoyable on multiple levels and worth a Fastpass for if you can get one
