Last Tango in Halifax

Up to last nights episode I had really enjoyed this over the years. Last night I was let down. It galloped through several stories at a pace rather than the usual gentle stroll . As it raced to tie up stories it was abrupt - the death (and I won�t say who ) then next scene funeral and baby ! The giraffe on the wall really was left of field and didn�t go into the detail . And the scene with the Father and son in the kitchen after his girlfriend disappeared as just terrible and used some dreadful homophobic language and for a series that has been at the forefront of LGBT stories I was disappointed with that and the Ladies Night our scene where usual stereotype language as liberally used which just spoilt a potential poignant scene .

I am sure they must have heard they were not coming back for another series so just tried to tie up all loose end in last 30 minutes and this ended up in a clumsy mess for me.

Now to watch Belgravia on a Sunday !

We stopped watching halfway thru the 3rd episode. I was so looking forward to it returning. From the beginning it was like they were trying to fit every scenario possible into it. As for the awful Artful Dodger kid! Hopefully it won't be back for another series, this one was total rubbish & embarrassing to watch.
It certainly was a Last Tango
Liked Belgravia tho, shows promise

Aww that sounds disappointed, I've missed a few but might not bother catching up!

I am with The Wizzard - it was poor and was so dissatisfying rush to get the series finished (not that just 4 episodes should have been a struggle to get written properly!?)
