Love the one in the blue beret, apparently he/ she shouts about being a vegan. Bet the creators really had to fight against themselves not to put gold stars around that beret and give him him/ her (or them?) a placard.

The books had wombles from all over the world. And more female ones than the series had.

Won’t be the same without Bernard Cribbins (why has he not had a knighthood yet?)

The wombles were always ‘woke’. They were doing Reduce, Reuse, Recycle long before it was cool.

Glad they are coming back.

I think they actually encouraged littering, folk in Wimbledon probably threw stuff away assuming the wombles would pick it up & build an extension out of it...

I thought the original Wombles were fun and uncomplicated... such a shame we have to endure this modern day “projecting” ...
