Hotel wedding and coordinator tipping.
My DD weddings went off without a hitch.
It was arranged by the hotel and we paid for an day organiser etc and the cost had a 21% service chsrge added. SHe was given a magazine with tip guide lines with the organiser of upto $500 for tip. As we have paid a 21% service charge do you think we are expected to give an additional tip to the main organier at the hotel ? Do they normally get the service charge ? On the day I tipped the bar staff waiting staff in addition to the service charge as I felt they gave exceptional service. But hotel planners are just doing their job and have 21% added. Should I give them more (I Forgot to bring the British goodies ?) Any thoughts/advice ? |

Well personally I wouldn't ever give $500 in tips, thats half my spending money!
I won't be tipping anyone over $20. I just don't have the budget to go any higher. I wouldn't have thought that it was expected if a service charge had been added.
