Staying at RPR which Supermarket would we pass from Sandford
Hi,
Not sure if this is the right place for this, but it I planning as far as I am concerned we are staying at RPR and landing at Sandford, so which supermarkets do we pass on the way and where are they ? Would like to pick up water and a few bits and pieces on the way to the hotel. Thanks |

I suppose it depends which way you go.
If going I4, the road from Sanford to the the I4 (Lake Mary Blvd) has supermarkets and a Target, or you could wait until you are nearer. S Kirkman Road near RPR has a publix. IF going via the toll roads (417 then 528), you would exit the 528 onto Universal Blvd, which takes you to the RPR. When you enter Universal Blvd you will find a Publix on your left after you pass the convention centre. |

Checking on the map, the Publix is only about 300- 400 metres from the 528, on Universal Blvd (Junc 2?) and you will find it on the left hand side. It is a dual carriage way with a central isle, with cut-outs for turning, so just move to the outside lane when you enter Universal Blvd, so you are ready to turn. The road is not very busy in this section. The Publix is set back off the road, so you can easily miss it, so watch carefully and you will see it soon after joining it.

But that's not on the way from Sanford, it would be a detour . However, a Walmart is a good place to stock-up also.
If they want to go to that Walmart, once they have checked in, I'd suggest they turn left out of the RPR (which is Hollywood Way) go to the end of the road and turn left at the T-junction. This is Turkey Lake Road. That Walmart is on Turkey Lake Road about a mile or less away. Normally a little quicker than going on the I4. I personally like the larger Walmart off Sandlake Road. Here you go back along Universal Blvd, turn left at Sandlake Road and it is about 2 miles along, about halfway to the Florida Mall. |

Thanks Once again, I assumed that there wasn't anything that close to RPR so was looking to stop on the way but no issue with checking in first and then popping to Walmart.
Great Help once again. |

we often use the Turkey Lake Road one, i guess its just habit, we spot it just of the I4 and turn back on yourself at the junction and just go down the road that runs alongside the I4
it has a fair selection of " holiday stuff " in it, then the normal stuff, seems fairly well used by " tourists " with the location you would expect it to be |
