Please Reassure me... Uber straight from MCO - Anyone ever had a problem?
I can't believe that in 10 years of Disney Holidays & 10 years for car hire we are considering NOT hiring a car! 😱
Can people please reassure me with your experiences of Uber's straight from MCO to your hotel?! If I order whilst we are collecting our luggage how long have people generally waited for thier Uber?! It makes sense for us not to hire a car this trip but I am so nervous as we have never used Uber in America! I am reading the Uber thread but any extra hints and tips would be greatly appreciated!

Like you,was nervous as we had never used uber before. No need, piece of cake and worked perfectly for us.Personally would wait until you have collected your luggage before ordering your cab.Time is money to uber drivers and dont like to be hanging around.Never used uber from MCO but used extensively for two weeks to all parks from I- drive and back.Longest wait was 10 mins

Dont know what size uber go up to but we used an XL uber for four ad and 1 ch( buggy, park bags)for park hopping and found in general the uber that turned up was adequate,on a couple of occasions the uber that turned up was tight to say the least but squeezed in.We booked a private transfer at a very reasonable price via Hoppa for our airport transfers so guaranteed enough space for us all including luggage.Alternative is try Mears

I have nto used Uber in Orlando but I have used it from the airportin Houston, many times, and locally when my car is in for service. I have seldom waited even 10 minutes.
When I call once I am ready to go to the pick up spot, I usually just get to the pick up when he Uber arrives (maybe 5 minutes a most). There are lots of Ubers around airports. Do not call until you are ready to depart the airport and go meet the car. The app tells you how long it will be until the car gets there and you can see it on your phone. Worst part of Uber from an airport, is there will be 3-4 others waiting. I am old and female and cannot tell a Toyota from a Honda until it is very close. |
