Mobile Here now - my good prices at Walmart 😳

Been here since Thursday and took a trip to Walmart yesterday after paying $28 for 2 refillable cups in universal. Convert that into ££ your looking at £25? We wouldn't pay that for Alton towers probably £7.99 per cup which is what we paid last year. How can they warrant these prices! So a trip to Walmart. Very expensive food the cheapest was water and pop at $1 a bottle of 1ltr but the bread... $3.98 for a loaf of bread! Couldn't believe it lol we have $200 a day and we are having to be very careful just save a little so we can have some spends at a mall. Ponderosa for breakfast is $40 for 4 of us. Bahama breeze $80 for 4 meals 1 bud 1 cocktail and 2 cokes TGI Fridays was $60 excluding tip for 4 meals and 4cokes. Bought cereals at Walmart and snacks and water and planning on a few McDonald's meals to even everything out. Amazing place glad to be back hotel avanti is beautiful very neutral position on idrive.

They charge those prices because they can. It's as simple as that.

Regarding prices of drinks in Walmart, you must have been looking in the wrong place. We buy multi packs of 6 x 500ml bottles of ZephyrHills water for a couple of $$. I paid $1 for a 3l bottle of the ZephyrHills (which I use for making cups of tea) only back in September, and they can't have gone up that much since.

We don't buy much fizzy because we find it makes us thirsty. Before we started getting the dining plans at Disney we were buying a 2l bottle of orange juice and 3 or 4l of water to drink, and it was a really cheap option.

If you freeze a 500ml bottle of orange juice overnight (leave a good 1" of air in the top, though), you can take that to a park and, depending on how hot it is, you get a fantastic orange juice slushy around mid-morning.

$3.98 for a loaf of bread? Blimey. I'm going to Aldi, hopefully cheaper there for essentials.

I agree that cups at universal are expensive, but we would reactivate them every day for $7, so it evens itself out for us.

$3.98 for a loaf of bread, must have been some fancy bread, it's much cheaper than that at the bakery. ($1.50 round here).

I'm sure the bread we bought in Walmart was only $1. I deliberately buy it there and extra to freeze as it's cheaper than Publix.

Hardly $200, but it's that price in Lake Mary (Sanford) too.

It's the price of loaves on the shelf that is expensive. Wonder, Arnold, Pepperidge Farm, Sara Lee, Natures Own are all between $2 and $4 per loaf and are full of preservatives and sugar.

Puerto Rican or the french baguettes off the fresh bakers are better. They have less preservatives so they need to be bought fresh every day or so, or frozen.
