Seems this flight has been delayed all month so far regardless of aircraft
VS27 seems ok Will keep an eye out now as we are flying out on VS15 on Friday - hope the UC lounge are ready for us if we get a significant delay 😀 Will be interesting to see the reason for the cancellation today |

I'm on the VS15 on the 2nd of August, so I've been keeping an eye on flights recently too. I messaged VA yesterday and my response was basically, delays due to whether and thunder storms. I knew the flight on Tuesday got diverted to Miami due to whether, but I read on Twitter (via VA feed) that the Thursday delay was due to the plane having to go back to the stand at Gatwick as there was an unwell passenger on board.
I guess that once one plane is out of position then there is a knock on effect, even if plane stock is moved around, there's going to a few days of delays. |

We always used to go out on the VS27 but time after time we found our booking got cancelled and we were bumped onto the VS15 when they reduced the flights at quieter times of the year. - not August mind.
Plus we have now got used to arriving later so now just book the VS15 by choice. It is the last plane out of the day in the VA fleet so does tend to be the one that gets delayed if inbound aircraft are late. Hey ho as long as they get me there. Coming back we like the earlier flight, the VS28, as that gives us more flexibility for our 3 hour drive home and hopefully arrive before lunchtime.

Yes, watched a great storm yesterday (Saturday) between 7pm and 7.30pm the roads completely vanished and the you couldn't see any of the buildings, even the ones closest. Lightening great as well.
