Possibility of trip between Xmas and New Year?
Hello all,
I have woken up this morning wondering if it would be possible to go away somewhere between Xmas and New Year for 4/5 nights. Criteria would be somewhere warmish, somewhere you do not have to self-isolate in the UK on your return, and preferably somewhere you don't have to test on the way out (although I guess that last one is unrealistic). Budget of £1000 max. I am struggling to think of anywhere but any suggestions would be gratefully received ![]() |

I hit a brick wall when trying to find something similar. If we go away it will be a break somewhere in England (although after I've checked some prices I think we'll just save the money and spend time at home).
My advice would be to research which company to get a test with on the way out before booking anything. I guess most countries will require a negative test within 72 or 96 hours of travel and due to the Christmas bank holidays and weekends that might be tricky to arrange. |

Alot of places/or airlines need tests - eg my niece is coming back form Spain to home for Christmas and needs a test before she flying back to UK and another to fly back to her job in Spain - £240 for each test so factor in £480 each person on top of holiday - BA only informed her of this yesterday !

To be fair its a Spanish requirement not BA's and been known about for a couple of weeks. And as we all know it is the passengers responsibility to have the correct Visas/documents to enter any country.
