Kenwood travel

has anyone dealt with them before? i called them for a quote during the week and when i told the young lady i spoke to that i had a better quote but thankyou very much she got very shirty with me and started telling me that its impossible to get a better quote and i should check the quote i have is correct because they are the best out there and so on,

now while i'm not worried the quote i have already is wrong (from tcd) i am a little bothered about the what now feel like bully scare tactics when i told her i didnt want to book at the price she quoted, anyone else had this?

We booked with them for our trip this year, didn't have any problems, think it was Darren we dealt with.

We have booked with Kenwood for our trip this year, whilst I can't give an opinion on the travel yet, I can say that the staff we have dealt with have been a delight.

I'm sorry you got someone not so nice, maybe they were having a bad day!

Claudia and Penny could not do enough for us when we were trying to get the best deal, and they were the cheapest by quite a lot.

I had a similar conversation with TCD when I said I'd had a better quite from Kenwood. The TA challenged that she didn't know how that could be possible (she wasn't rude to me though).

Clearly some major competition going on between these two companies.

Strangly enough the same happened to us when virgin quoted us against kenwood, virgin were pretty adamant the kenwood couldn't quote the same holiday cheaper

We booked ours through kenwood as they were cheaper than virgin quoted and the flights are through virgin as well, and abbey who we dealt with could not have been more helpful

We used them this year and so far so good (don't travel till next wk tho so fingers crossed!). We dealt with James and he was very good. However, me DH did ring them with a qry on our seat reservations and spoke to a very rude girl who didn't help at all. He rang back few days later and spoke to someone else who was very helpful and answered our query no problem. Maybe they have one 'dragon' in the office and we were both unlucky to get her! Don't let it put you off them though, they get very good reviews

if ringing kenwood do they give you a better price over the phone than what they quote on there website ?

No not in our case,The price is higher as the say that the online quote isn't a live system for the flight prices so they tell you the correct price when you call them. It was still cheaper than others though.
