New York hotels
Hello
There will be 5 of us going next August, me, DH and teens - 18, 16 and 16. 4 nights and we need 2 hotel rooms. We've decided against a suite or family room as we need 2 bathrooms. I don't want to be waiting hours for 5 showers when we could be out. We literally just need somewhere to dump luggage and sleep. Clean, central, not in a dingy street. Booking.com are making the following favourable: DoubleTree by Hilton Chelsea Holiday Inn Manhattan 6th Ave DoubleTree by Hilton metropolitan NYC Anyone have any experience of those please? Thanks

Keep an eye on the Affina group over Black Friday. They've had a good sale in previous years and have 2 bathroom suites that sleep 7. Otherwise, all the ones you listed are fine, the first 2 are down near Macys,Empite State etc... The third one is further north near Rockefeller and St Patricks cathedral.

We stayed at the metropolitan and was great- was very handy for everything we needed. Clean and decent sized rooms too.

Thanks very much both! Very reassuring 🙂
I've booked everything except the hotel as I figured Black Friday would be a good time to look 👍

I stayed in the Courtyard Chelsea, take a look at that one- very good in an unbeatable location, quiet street but very close to everything. Don’t be put off by the few recent reviews moaning about covid measures etc, look on Tripadvisor at all the great reviews from last year and back. It’s a great little no frills hotel this in a fantastic location as I say. Great views as well across the city from the higher floors, with some floor to ceiling windows in some bathrooms etc.
