On the positive side, Florida is fantastic and I am having a fab time. Feels like nothings changed and haven't worn a mask once since leaving the airport- although not doing Disney.
If you are talking about simply test me it is looking like £43.

Absolutely no issues at Heathrow just passport shown and that was it
Are you allowed to use your phone in USA immigration halls.
I was under the impression it was against the law to switch it on until passing passport control.
I presume this has changed.

We spent £180 on lateral flow tests for pre departure and return. I'll have to look into whether they will refund them and swap for PCR's. We return on the 22nd December too so that means self isolation through to at least Xmas Eve if not later depending on when our test result comes back. That scuppers our Christmas food shopping and last minute prep.

Our 9 year old daughter caught COVID from school this week and will only just be clear of self isolation by the time we go...remains to be seen whether the rest of us catch it off her and we can't go for that reason, we are less than 2 weeks from departure.

It's just getting silly for a holiday. Disney is our main hobby and major holiday motivation, but right now what in normal times would be a straightforward holiday it is just providing a disproportionate level of background stress and anxiety. And expense!
I totally sympathise ,very recent booking & am supposed to be going on 12 Dec to 24th , am hoping to book fit to fly test now ( still don't know who to use, live near Stansted) and trying to work out best option (cost vs convenience vs stress!), definitely taking the shine off what is supposed to be a trip of a lifetime for us ( my girls 10 & 5, don't know about trip as I'm petrified that something goes amiss at last minute and they would be devastated as well as us adults). We are now looking at being isolated for Christmas and Boxing day too , if not longer as no guarantee will get test results back unless I do one of the even more expensive at airport tests. Really fed up now, and starting to regret decision to book which is depressing !
