Sea Bass

Perfectly cooked, great piece of fish.

8oz filet with 9oz lobster tail (we’d agreed to split the tail but it arrived on P’s plate)

Again two perfectly cooked, very tender, tasty things.

Potato Gratin

The ideal accompaniment to both mains.

We decided to test the chocolate cake and compare it with the ‘71s.

Very little between them, 71 wins by a whisker for the subtle whisky flavour but The Palms was really good too.

Usual exceptional service again tonight and the manager gave me contact details to get our old 837 points transferred across to the Landry’s card. It’s now part of the Landry group but thankfully hasn’t lost any of the quality we’ve been used to over the years.

Busy day yesterday, packing to do, City match on the telly while we were doing it though so made it bearable.

We left the Hard Rock and headed for the Beach Club. The plan was drop the bags, check if our room was ready or our requests had been successful at least. The desk assured us we had ‘high floor, full balcony, nice view’ locked in so we headed back to the car to go out for lunch with our south Florida friends (Christina and Brian for those that know them too)

We had brunch booked at Olivia’s and here’s what we ordered

Waffle and scrambled

Banana bread French toast

Sombrero omelette with side of bacon

Sombrero omelette for an onion and garlic allergy

Good food, great service and brilliant company - Brian whipped the bill too so no bill pic today.

It’s been a while Cath, we last saw them in 2018 when Lois last came, I remember that ‘cos we met up and all ended up going to Bluezoo. They were across in Tampa this time for TG at Chris’ moms and diverted across to us on their way home.
