Parking Heathrow

Best place for parking terminal 5 Heathrow , we prefer not to leave our car keys with anybody after having had a not very good experience with a previous car , so looking for somewhere we can park and go ( no meet and greets )

Presumably a premier inn and then parking separately ? , as most hotels seem to offer a shuttle that you have to leave your car keys so they move your car ?

Thanks

Jules

If you're staying a night at Heathrow then the Thistle Hotel has its own car park and you take your keys with you. Easy transfer to T5 using the Heathrow POD, £6 per person.

I know what you mean about non official meet and greets. Heathrow have an official one, where you can drop off literally outside, or in Short Stay and they deal. You should be OK with them, just do a quick video before leaving the car (many scan it now, not sure if Heathrow do). Or they have a short stay.
I refuse to be waiting for buses etc when I come off a flight, so like my car to be right there.

When I looked it was £14.99 , both ways , in one of their eco taxis

Just park overnight in a hotel
Then drive to the official long stay in the morning
My Hubbie doesn’t want to leave keys either or park at a hotel
for too long
We stayed at Holiday Inn Ariel I think it’s a Best Western now
I might book Hotel Leonardo on the Bath Road next time it’s cheap & cheerful
We’ll fly out from 3 & back into 5
So we can park at Terminal 5 and catch the inter terminal train to depart

Have the pods restarted now?

If you are parking in T5 long stay and departing from T3, just walk across to the T2/3 business parking (it literally adjoins T5 long stay) and use its shuttle bus to T3. I’m assuming the T2/3 business parking is open.

Nobody ever checks if you are actually parked in T2/3 business parking. Much quicker than a bus to T5 and then the train to T3.

We were thinking about booking an Uber for our return to LHR T3. Has anyone used Uber from Heathrow?
Can you pre book or do you have to book on arrival.
Thanks
