Our direct flights MAN-MCO were cheapest via Aer Lingus when compared to indirect with AL/Virgin/BA/Icelandair. We paid £1180 for 2 people with baggage for 17th September - 8th October. That was booked on the day flights were released, they same flights are around £1400-£1500 last time I looked.

We got four Premium Economy (Autistic 15 year old who gets extremely distressed near babies - self harms and noise) with BA and Shingle Creek for 14 nights in October for £4900.
Very happy with that. Had £450 voucher and still have £1k with Virgin to spend. |

This is to be our first ever direct flight to the USA and I got a shock when I saw it’s a 9hour 50 mins flight!
