A Surprise return To The Beach Club - Day 7

Another slow start this morning and with a strong coffee to get us going, we headed off to the bus stop for our Animal Kingdom , stopped to take a pic of the DCL bus and of course we just missed one, so we went in the car instead. We headed straight for Africa and Kusafiri bakery again and each got a (very) large warm cinnamon roll and cappuccino to keep us going while we checked in and waited for the Caring for Giants backstage tour.
You check in near the Safari entrance, and get a name tag on paper made from recycled elephant poo apparently! Once it started we were taken backstage and got on a minibus (there were 10 people) which took us past the animal night time enclosures - they explained that if animals choose to stay on the savannah, they let them, and finally to a viewing area behind the elephants. We could see the Safari buses going past and were in a good position for photos. 2 Animal keepers did a talk, and Q&A session with us, we enjoyed it , it lasted just over an hour but was only $30pp.
Afterwards we went into the shop in Africa and I got an elephant and giraffe for our twin baby nieces - cute. Tough to be a Bug was just going in, so we watched that again, and some of the entertainers. We had another FP for Flight of Passage, so headed to Pandora for lunch first at Satuuli Canteen - a first for us and we were very impressed, definitely on next years list! After FoP, we went over to watch Nemo the Musical, a fab show - and rode Dinosaur again before deciding to leave the park and go for a game of mini golf.
When we got to WinterSummerland it was absolutely packed with a wait time of 50 mins - never known it before! So we went to AKL for a look around and a drink. DD decided she'd like to go back to AK to see the evening shows etc so she went for a bus, and we went back to BC for a lazy couple of hours and a shared sandwich and tub of ice cream from the Marketplace, and we collected some shopping that we sent back a couple of days ago. DD came back about 10 pm having also managed to wander through the World Showcase and had really enjoyed Rivers of Light.

When we were back at BC there was a wedding in Ariels Grotto, with the main man as guest of honour, we were asked to join them but didn't feel comfortable in our park clothes - but it looked amazing.

Great day, Caring for Giants tour looked excellent value for $30 pp. We love Nemo show too, and really enjoyed Rivers of Light. This was the first time we have seen it and thought it was beautiful.
