We are staying off site and it is our DD birthday while we are there and we would love to maybe do 1 night on site for her birthday where would i go to book a 1 night stay that isnt going to cost me the earth

Renting DVC points is normally the best option and gives you access to the Deluxe resorts at very reasonable prices. Do you have a resort that you'd like to try?

Google for David's DVC , we booked one night at AKL with them last year and it was reasonable. They have a calculator chart on their website so you can see the prices at the various different DVC resorts and room types for your dates . (It says minimum of two nights but they will do just one )

Have a look at this thread of Dibbers who have DVC points to rent. As you're under the 7 month window, you can rent points for any resort that Dibbers are offering to use at AKL or WL. By that, I mean that there's a Dibber with GF points, but those points can still be rented for stays at AKL and WL. You don't necessarily need to find someone with points to rent at the resort you want to stay at.

Just send them a PM with details of the dates you're looking for, size of accommodation (studio, 1 bed villa, 2 bed villa) etc and they will check availability and let you know the number of points needed and the cost. It helps if you can be flexible with dates too.
