Cream based makeup for older skin

I’m rapidly approaching 50 and fine with the number itself, but I’m noticing lately that my makeup ( esp eyeshadow and blusher) is looking very cakey and seems to sit on top of my skin and really emphasise my wrinkles I was wondering if anyone could recommend any cream shadows and blushers that last and would hopefully give me a bit of much needed radiance. Fingers crossed! Thanks all xx

Not sure about foundations but I’ve been using a Mac cream eyeshadow called Painterly as a base. It’s really smooth and never looks cakey.
Painterly is just the shade but it might help identify what it is in the range.

I use smashbox primer (oil free) and have used Estée Lauder double wear for about 15 years, I’m 51.
I can’t help with blusher sorry as I’ve never used it.

I keep hearing about the Estee Lauder double wear. Do they do a colour match do you know?
Thanks for the Mac tip. Off to google that now

I actually just went and got a 10 day sample of double wear! It’s free to do at the moment so pop along to a counter and get some. I’ve been using it a couple of days and it’s great.

Re: liquid blusher, i’d really recommend Glossier Cloud Paint, it comes in a few different colours and believe me a little goes a long way, it looks really natural and is just fab! I love it!

Julep do a cream blusher called desert rose that is like a bronze highlighter for your cheeks and gives a lovely youthful glow.
