Booking multiple cabins with Others than DCL
So I am looking at doing a European cruise with my sister, her husband and their 5 kids next Summer, as one last big family holiday as the oldest girls turn 16 and will soon want nothing to do with us.
I think from their POV, cost will rule out DCL. They are newbies and wouldn’t be willing to throw DCL kind of money at their first cruise, so I’m considering RCCL. I’m currently on vacation in Orlando so have only had a few browses so far, but the website seems completely uninterested in letting me do a dummy booking for more than one cabin. It just tells me I have to call. Is there any way around this? I think I looked at either NCL or P&O and the same outcome. It’s no biggie, I can call when I am back from this vacation, just wanted to Star getting ideas in my head. Alternatively does anyone have any good travel agent recommendations for cruises from the UK.

Hi Pete
Our very first cruise in 2011 was a family booking for 10 to celebrate my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary. We booked cabins individually but our cruise agent linked the bookings so that we had our family group noted as one party for dining etc but it meant we could pay as our individual family units, this worked well as any cancellations wouldn’t affect the rest of the group plus it’s much easier to administer your own booking . We have done the same for this year for a cruise with my sister and brother in law and again for next year when cruising with our friends. Agent wise I have had very good prices and customer service from Cruise.co.uk. I find specialist cruise agents much better than generic travel agencies because they actually know the product they are selling.

We have 3 cabins booked with P&O for a family trip. I used Planet Cruise who were slightly cheaper than P&O to begin with, and they discounted each cabin by another £50ish each when I called saying I needed 3.
