Oh poor kitty. But she was only ill a little while and had the best care. I've had similar twice with cats of mine - console yourself with the knowledge that you did the best for her
Somewhere sometime there's another cat waiting for you

I am so sorry. Just been through it ourselves and I know how much it hurts.

We have our lovely girl Spikey’s ashes in a resin container shaped like a pebble, to put in the garden. The vets were really good explaining all the options and didn’t rush us.

You did the right thing for your cat. Take comfort in the knowledge that she was loved and had a wonderful life with you.

I find the ‘rainbow bridge’ is a comforting story and a nice way to think about this.

So so sorry hugs for you at this time

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together...

Sorry to hear this. We've just had 6 weeks of fearing the worst and hoping for the best as vets suspected lymphoma and sadly they were right. We've opted not to put him through 6 months of treatment which would have been 18 trips to Edinburgh as it would only buy him a couple of months. He gets so stressed in the car. We'd be doing it for us not him. Giving him palliative care in the house and spoiling him instead. It's horrible but ultimately your vet has done what is best for your cat and that is the most import thing.

Oh that is sad. Now she is pain free and playing with her friends in cat heaven.
