I don't feel very brave! I am lucky enough in that I like my own company but rarely get the chance to be alone!

Oh my word I think I may have just met my twin! I love to travel alone and rarely get to be alone and I relish it - I'm a wife and mum of DD13 and am thinking of doing more solo travel now that she's older. I've just done a quick weekend in Belfast on my own to test the waters, and am planning a solo 50th birthday trip in two years.

Thanks so much for posting - a lot of people think I'm wierd for wanting to go off on my own and it's fantastic to read someone else who is doing it.

I hear you about people thinking you are strange but it really is so liberating!

I have done NY twice, Las Vegas and Hong Kong! Loved them all! KL probably took my out of my comfort zone the most but it really was a fabulous trip!
