Nicholas Culpeper, Gatwick Airport

After doing twilight check in, we stopped here for dinner

I had a voucher for a half price gin and tonic

So that was a double, for the price of a single

I had the macaroni cheese with bacon

Which was really very good. Surprisingly so. Yummy.

Andy had the fish and chips .. it’s haddock

Made a change from the Premier Inn restaurant. Which was good as we weren’t staying there

Would definitely eat here again

Sonoma, Gatwick Airport, March 3rd

We had planned breakfast at Wetherspoons but there was a queue to be seated already (about 7.30) so we nipped up here instead.

This also got busy and had a queue by the time we left.

I had the fruit topped pancakes

Andy had the Country breakfast

And a couple of cappuccinos.

I had a 15% off voucher from My Gatwick so that basically paid for one of the coffees. Bill was £26 after the voucher.

Nice place ... food came out quickly and was all good. Another new place that we would go back to.

Ooh great - another trip for you. I saw on IG you'd nipped off and thought I must have missed you saying you were going.

Great use of the half price voucher there!

Andys breakfast looks huge.

Have a fab holiday.

Ah thanks. It is, quite literally, a last minute flying visit so I need to make the most of it

Virgin Atlantic. LGW to MCO

This was a very good flight. Felt like a constant supply of food and drink and a total contrast to our Hi fly/ Norwegian experience last time out. Which was interesting as this flight was only around £40 each more...

1115 drinks came out
Amarula for me

While perusing the menu

1150 lunch arrived
I went for the chicken

It was all fine. The little GU pot was very yummy.

There was an empty seat next to me so the the lady in the window seat and I used it as our mini bar

Finished off with Coffee.

Barely got into the film and the ice lolly arrived at 2pm

Swiftly followed by afternoon drinkies at 4pm

Can you see a pattern emerging

And then afternoon tea at just after 6

The mozarella roll

And Scone ( jam before cream obvs)

Were very nice.

Overall, great flight. Very impressed

Ikea Jacksonville

Before we set off we had a “ pre breakfast” as we’d been up blinking hours. Andy had the leftover pizza while I tackled the cheesecake from yesterday

Ok, Ikea - not your typical Florida holiday destination. IG’ers will have pegged why

Is this a Dibb first? An Ikea breakfast in a food trippy?

We were here at opening. For 20 minutes we had the entire store to ourselves. This is actually the stuff of dreams

Good to see some things don’t change

The lady serving was completely bewildered by why I was taking food pics

We had a small and medium breakfast .. the medium comes with a lingonberry crepe

Andy had his UK Ikea card .. so our coffees were free

Houligan’s Sports Bar

Conveniently located next to Home Depot, we had a quick stop here after a hard day shopping in the St Augustine Outlets

Andy had got me these hand made salted caramel squares at the stores . Ooof they were gorgeous

On to Houligan’s, which was very busy so taking pics a bit tricky. This was the only empty section in the place.

It was definitely Mule time

We shared a munchie basket

We didn’t need dinner in the end.. this was more filling than we expected

I love it - breakfast cheesecake a good ikea breakfast and those salted caramel squares look delicious!

The bar snacks look lovely and fried, a perfect accompaniment to your mule. Good to see your cocktails are improving
