Day 6
Friday 25th August Breakfast hash house a go go On International Drive again 5 mins drive from Universal. We were there just before 8am opening. Have eaten here a few times, always for breakfast. We had the $40 Travelzoo.com voucher which cost $20. Portions are massive. We actually had the same server as last October. We had coffee and DD chocolate milk. DD and I shared the fried chicken and bacon waffles with no fried leeks. We enjoyed this, 2 big pieces of chicken and 4 waffles.$18.99 Even with DH having a waffle we didn’t finish. DH had a quesadilla $14.50 Total $2.62 plus tip and the Travel Zoo voucher which cost $20 Starbucks Disney Springs I got another Florida you are here mug for $11.67 for work and 3 cups of free iced water. Starbucks give you big cups of water. Coca Cola Store, Disney Springs We loved the rooftop beverage bar here. They do a tray of flavours from around the world for $8.50, same idea as club cool and a tray of different coke floats for $10. Both together were $15 plus tax so we had that. They give you a card so you know what you are drinking, includes the infamous Beverley. We had fun trying the flavours and it was a nice place to sit with decent view. Not too bust as mid morning. $15.98 Edited at 01:30 PM. |

Really enjoying this review... off to find your others as out first time in a long time we will be off site in November so little behind with planning in dining as haven't had to do ADRs!
One question if you don't mind... I can see you find loads of offers /vouchers... how do you find these? It is it just a case of keep trawling all the websites? Had a quick look online and the only ones I could find were for places if never heard of... nothing like you've found! Edited at 02:47 PM. |

Late Lunch Longhorn Steakhouse
Also at Rolling oaks. We had a late Lunch before going to MNSSHP at 4pm. As it was lunch we didn’t want a massive steak so me and DD had the $12.99 menu which came with a salad, appetiser or dessert and a 60z steak and side. DH had a Kobe Steak Melt Sandwich. They brought wholewheat bread to start. We had salads with thousand island and ranch dressing. DH had DD’s appetiser and chose the cheese potato soup and I had the chilli cheese fries which were good. DD was starving but wouldn’t eat the bread, salad or appetisers. She did demolish her steak and fries and some of mine. DD had the sirloin steak and fries and I had mine with a loaded baked potato both cooked medium. They were really nice. DH’s sandwich was ok, bit dry. Water to drink as it was another hot day and I was conscious we were going to be in the heat at magic Kingdom. We enjoyed our first visit to Longhorn. Would like to go at night and have the porterhouse for 2 we’ve had our eye on. The $12.99 deal was really good value and plenty of food. DD complained it was a bit dark in there, again at night I don’t think she would have commented. $41.36 plus tip Magic Kingdom Free Water, Snack Cart From a snack cart in Frontierland. It was so hot they had them lined up to give out. Cosmic rays Strawberry Lemonade Slushie with a mickey straw and a coke zero (with more free ice water) while we studied the party map and enjoyed the a/c. It was packed in here. $9.89 Storybook Treats We did not buy anything - we were just sheltering from the rain. Columbia Harbour House This wasn’t open the full duration of the party closing at 8pm, we ate just before it closed. The upstairs seating was open but it was too hot, so it was busy downstairs. We shared a combo platter with fries and coleslaw, got chicken nuggets for both (not nuggets and fish) and 3 cups of free iced water. DD loves Disney chicken nuggets. $13.31 Trick or Treat Plaza Ice cream parlour 3 kids Mickey cones with the chocolate ‘ears’ just before we watched the Hallowishes fireworks at 10.15pm. DH and DD had mint, I had strawberry. $3.49 each plus tax Approx $11.25 Wendy’s DH was hungry so we stopped at Wendy’s on Turkey Lake Road near the hotel. He had a double baconator burger meal with fries and coke zero and DD a cheeseburger. $10.31 Total day 6 $104.72 plus tip and $20 for travelzoo coupon Edited at 03:25 PM. |
