Alamo Max - intermediate SUV question

Hi all!
Less than 12 weeks to go until our first trip eek!

We have a car booked with Alamo via DFCH. We've gone for the Alamo Max package on an Intermediate SUV to enable us a free upgrade to a full size SUV. My question is, will there always be full size SUV's available? And if not, what would we be likely to get on the basis of what we've booked?
Many thanks

Hi. Your upgrade is to a Standard SUV not a Full Size sadly.

The Standard row can be hit or miss and quite often is packed out with Intermediates.

If there aren't any Standards there head to the little hut in the garage and they will arrange for one to be brought around. If they have none (they will) then they have to upgrade you free of charge.

Would you not recommend then going with Alamo max? Just stick with Alamo and intermediate SUV?

Certainly not. Very rare a freebie happens, be rude not to grab it with both hands. I certainly would.

As it happens I have a Standard SUV booked already for 2 of our trips and a Full Size for the 3rd one. All with Auto Europe and prior to Max being launched however the prices I got cannot be beaten since I booked.

Hi! Ah yes, of course - my mistake! I'd meant a standard.
I've paid just over £400 for 2 weeks - would this be considered a good price? I do check the site regularly, and they've gone up in price now

The price sounds ok but of course a lot depends on the dates. For some dates that's expensive for others its cheap.
All down to supply and demand at the rental location.

Brill, thank you - we go end May / beginning June. Good to know its not extortionate anyway - plus that price is for the Gold package so includes another driver and a tank of fuel

Standard SUV line was pretty poor last night - we ended up with a Nissan Pathfinder which is quite battered. After a 2 hour queue at immigration we just wanted to get in something and get going though.

I’m sure that vehicle has an intermittent flashing engine management light! Quick visit to Disney Car Care Centre should lead to a change of vehicle.
