As a mum of a daughter around Isobel’s age, I just wanted to add my best wishes and prayers that Isobel’s health improves soon. I can’t imagine what you are all going through, but Isobel sounds so brave. It seems so unfair when someone so young has to suffer with this terrible illness 😢

Once again, thank you to our lovely extended DIBB family for all your very kind wishes and prayers.

We had a meeting at Clatterbridge yesterday where they confirmed her diagnosis of stage 4 papillary renal cancer. Apparently it’s quite rare but when it does occur, it’s usually found in 50 year old women - almost unheard of in a fit, healthy 18 year old girl.

Isabel starts a dual course of immunotherapy on Thursday. Although the radiotherapy on her spine helped the pain somewhat it’s taken a while to get on top of her pain management but we are just about there. She is being upbeat and as a family we are going to focus on being as positive as we can. Xxx

Thanks for taking the time to update. Must be a difficult time, and probably feels like a nightmare you cannot wake up from. I know with DD it was like it was happening to someone else. I am pleased her pain is now being controlled, she sounds an amazing young lady. Hugs to you all and best wishes for the long road ahead. X
