Ecxcellent reading as always.
I'm adding Cowfish to my list, I've yet to try sushi for some reason, your firecracker roll looked good so I might start with that.
Kekes breakfast looked great, now I'm all up with uber that looks a good option for us as part of our RPR stay as does the Cheesecake Factory.

Day 5



Thursday 24th August





Breakfast First Watch



This is on Plaza Venezia on Sandlake Road about 5 mins drive from Universal (it’s the next plaza along to the one Wholefoods/O’Charleys is on)









Again more of a locals place, it also scores highly on best breakfast awards in Orlando Sentinel.







It has usual breakfast food and some healthier and seasonal items.



They send a BOGOF for joining the email club and for your birthday.



We had coffee to drink and DD water (the kid’s meal does include a drink but she just wanted water) DH really rated the coffee here. They also bring all different flavoured creamers.











I usually have the carrot cake pancake but had the BLT eggs benedict which were lovely with breakfast potatoes $10.99







DH had a trifecta with scrambled eggs and bacon. This comes with a pancake or waffle. DH got a lemon ricotta pancake $9.79







DD had the Kid’s choc chip pancake.







Check was $34.03 but we saved $9.79 with the email coupon.







Will definitely be back.

Universal Studios, Schwab pharmacy Ben and Jerry’s







There was no one in as we passed in the early afternoon so I asked if they would take the groupon. The manager was there and I showed them the address on my printed groupon and the address for schwab pharmacy on the Ben and Jerrys website (on my phone) matched. They agreed to take the groupon and we had 3 ice creams. I had a sundae, DH and DD tubs.















The groupon was worth $14 of ice cream and had cost $3.50 (was supposed to be $7 but there was a code for 50% off).









It was about $4 plus the $3.50 groupon for the 3 ice creams









4 Rivers smokehouse, Winter park







We have been here before and enjoyed it. It’s bbq food served canteen style. Line up and choose food then seat yourself, get own drinks and cutlery etc.






It took 18 mins from Universal, it’s an easy drive up I4.



I had a brisket sandwich and 2 sides $9.99.







DH a texas destroyer and 2 sides $10.99.







And DD a kid’s brisket sandwich meal with mac and cheese $5.69 inc cookie and a drink.







We had crinkle cut fries, fried pickles, mac and cheese and smokehouse corn (which was really good) for our sides.



The brisket is their signature meat and is melt in the mouth delicious. We ate late afternoon so not busy, but it does get very busy at main meal times.



They have a sweet shop selling cakes but we were full so no dessert this time.







They had a promotion on Kids 12 and under eat free Mon to Weds (we were there Thursday)







Will definitely be back. They have a location in Kissimmee and Winter Park too.



I also bought a bottle of BBQ sauce to bring home.
