POFQ Refurb letter

This morning I received a letter warning of potential noise due to re-imagining the rooms at POFQ. We are due to go July.

Does anyone know if this just refers to the soft refurb of the rooms or something more? Thanks 😊

It’s a change from carpet to wooden flooring, and a bit of a freshen up.

I think they are tending to block out a whole floor of a building at a time so minimising noise.

It is just the soft refurb. They are running behind as it was meant to be all done by end of May. Only one building is complete (building 2) and they’re currently working on building 3. I would hope that by July most, if not all, will be complete and they’ll have moved on to POR.

I got the same letter for a stay starting July 10th. I know all rooms were being refurbished but that was meant to finish by may..interested to see if anyone has more info.

That is correct, that is all they are doing. The work was supposed to be finished by May, but they are just running behind schedule that is all

Thanks all! Was concerned there was more substantial work going on, but can deal with the soft refurb 😊

The refurbished rooms do look nice, if a little sterile 😊

Yep - got the same letter today for the 19th. My question would be if they were planing to be complete by May I would assume that they were expecting full capacity for July. If that is the case and they have overbooked will people start getting moved?

That's a very good point. Will be interesting to see if anything develops - I'm sure Disney must be running out of place to move folk to

I think the hard floors, whilst a little noisy perhaps, will be much easier to clean. Last time we visited, the carpet had needed to be shampoo’d before we checked in so we had damp carpet for the first day.

Not a problem to us but perhaps a bigger issue to others and a hard floor that can have a quick mop and dry must be better!
