Culvers was on our list but we didn't make it there... wishing we had instead of red robin which I wasn't impressed with.

Day 3

Sunday 19th August 2018

Breakfast

Aventura Hotel Starbucks and Urban Pantry Foodcourt

We wanted to make it to the parks early today so had a quick breakfast at the hotel.

I had a latte and a strawberry scone which was very nice (receipt says orange but it was strawberry)

DH and DD had a java chip frappuchino each

DD had a kids pancakes which came with bacon and a bottle of water from the food court.

DH didn't have any breakfast. He had some work to do so didn't come to parks this morning and said he may get something later but then didn't end up doing.

I saved 10% at both starbucks and the foodcourt with our Universal annual pass.

Total $26.23 (starbucks $18.56 and kids meal $7.67)

We charged $18.56 to the room and used some of our $100 free food and drink credit to pay for it. So cost to us was $0. I for some reason paid cash for the kids meal so paid $7.67

DD outside Voodoo donuts at Citywalk

We sadly never made it inside for a donut, lines were long or we had just eaten. It was on the list but we ran out of time.

I will just add we ended up having a park morning where everything goes just perfectly. Me and DD got to Universal Studios at 8.30am. The park opened at 9am but they were letting hotel guests in early. Minions opened at 8.30am and we were first ride of the day. We then did shrek as the first riders of the day and had a great rest of the morning getting lots done.

Big pink donut, Simpsons, Universal

We ddn't have one this time but they seemed popular still

Snack - Popcorn

DD and I got a souvenir bucket of salted popcorn from the cart near MIB at Universal Studios

You can keep the bucket and get cheap refills (we didn't though)

We also got a couple of cups of free iced water. Anywhere with a soda machine will give you the filtered iced water for free.

$7.45 (no AP discount at the carts)

Day 3 Continued

Lunch

Friendly's International drive

One of our usuals. It's just a diner but the food is always nice. Service today was a bit slow but would certainly eat here again.

Signing up to email club gets you 25% off. I showed this on my phone no problem.

As I walked in I saw someone having a salad and it looked good so I had that. It was off the $5.99 menu. I also love the strawberry lemonade here.

DD had adult chicken tenders and waffle fries and loved them.

DH had the bbq chicken supermelt and waffle fries. DD had soda to drink, DH water.

So we all had chicken tenders just in different meals!

DH and DD's meals came as a combo with an ice cream sundae for $10.99. DD didn't want her icecream so I had that.

Food was hot and tasty.

Saved $8.78 with the email coupon

Cost $28.07 plus tip
