Aquatica
I have booked Mickey Halloween Party and two days in Universal parks with overnight stay at Hard Rock. That is our main theme parks for this year holiday. My wife has now hinted that we ought to do a water park day as well for the kids.
Do you think Aquatica is a good independent one to visit? Is it worth getting tickets and value for money? Children are 12, 9 and 6. Or is there a better water park out there? I have deliberately avoided Disney Typhoon park and Universal Volcano Bay as I already am tied on deals with both as already aforementioned. So appreciate any advice on the other water parks. I personally love Aquatica - especially Roa's Rapids - must put on a life jacket as it is so much fun. I can actually go in the wave pool there, it's similar to Blizzard Beach - not too rough like Typhoon Lagoon. We get there early and always manage to get beds near to the wave pool, with a big umbrella. I think it's a lovely park, plenty for the kids to do too.

Yeah, we love Aquatica too - definitely worth considering for a trip.
However if you are just buying a one day ticket purely for the waterpark anyway, then there would be nothing to stop you going to any of the water parks in the area. Aquatica and Volcano Bay are equals for us, followed by Typhoon Lagoon then Blizzard Beach. |

Love Aquatica. They have a lot of family tube slides. And of course some that are a bit to dare devil for me ! But my favourite water park. Staff are really friendly.

We did a non-disney stay last Aug (well, apart from one MNSSHP afternoon/night) and decided on Aquatica as a water park. It was brilliant, stayed from opening to closing and never ran out of stuff to do.
Watch out for thunder if going in August. We got lucky with just one 15min period where everything stopped as lightening was within 5 miles or so but I heard on others days it was closed for quite a while. This is true for all the water parks though, not just Aquatica. Watch out for offers on tickets, often good discounts on Groupon on even just on the Seaworld website if buying in advance. |

Aquatica is our favourite water park. I find it tends to be less crowded, and we love the cabanas to chill out in.

Much prefer Aquatica to the Disney water parks, great slides and less crowded.
Haven't tried Volcano Bay yet so can't comment on that one.

We love Aquatica, it comes as a group add on to Discovery Cove so we tend to do it a couple of times each visit. The new water park at Universal can be one of your early entry options. Not been yet but the videos non you tube look promising.
