Eye Shadow help

I'm in the process of doing my Christmas wish list and would like some eyeshadow. At the moment I have the Urban Decay 2 pallet but there are many colours I have not used. I'm looking for something that goes on well and doesn't drag or leave speckles on my cheeks. I like natural colours, I'm mid blonde, green eyes and early 50s. Any suggestions would be great

If your budget can stretch, the Charlotte tilbury and Chanel ones are lovely and stay on!

I have just bought E.L.F mad for matte shadow palette , I’m the same age bracket with blue/green eyes .
I don’t like glitter shadows as they give me red eyes.
I also find eye shadow primers good to use beforehand.

Charlotte tilbury are beautiful but hardly any matte shades and for everyday or eyelids with creases this is problematic. Urban decay have quite a few palettes - also Morphe have some of my favourite palettes and they always have more matte shades than shimmers. The Jocelyn Hill collection last yeah was amazing.

I’m a sucker for a palette .

Charlotte Tilbury is lovely but more of an evening palette I’d say. I like Urban Decay but my favourite is probably Too Faced. Something like this one maybe:

I bought this in Florida last year and use it everyday! It’s a good range of browns and stays put! I bought several palettes last year and I intend to use one up fully before I open another one.

Love eyeshadow and have way too many! I love the too faced too peachy palette and also the urban decay ones, they are all good! Also take a look on the morphe site and look out for all the upcoming black Friday deals, they were all half price at one point! I have two, and love both. Re fallout, I always do my eyes first so you can wipe away any that falls when your blending etc... Always always use urban decay primer potion, worth it's weight in gold! I always get comments on my eyeshadow and it doesn't budge all day!

I don't have a problem. Truly. Here's my 2 cents .

Urban Decay can be funny - lots of colours in the Naked palettes but you'll probably only use a handful of them. Sometimes the pigment is fantastic, other times it's lacking. I'd suggest the individuals if you want UD.

As someone has already mentioned, Morphe are great value for money and have some lovely matte shades.

Benefit do lovely, wee cute collections all year round and more at Christmas - these are actually quite good for a taste - shadows, mini blushes and mascaras. All very wearable as their thing is you but better if you get my meaning? Nice eye shadow formula.

I am a die hard MAC lover. Now they do little mini 9 palettes, Amber & Burgundy are good. You can also create your own palettes - they have (almost) all their individual shades in little pans that you can pop in your own case, you can go as little as 2. Quarry is a lovely neutral taupe shade (found in the burgundy x9 palette, I ended up buying separately).
I strongly recommend trying a shade called Amber Lights, brings out blue and green in eyes very nicely - may look a wee bit dramatic at first but very, very wearable. If you're brave, go for Coppering - I'm a super pale redhead with blue eyes - it looks great.

Despite hitting my 30's, I still have quite oily skin and as a result eye shadow slips off easily (some brands last longer than others but they all go at some point in the day). I cannot stress the wonders of Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion - regardless of whether you're wearing Morphe or MAC makes it last all day. It's pricey but very worth the money. Benefit's one is nice too.

I’ve got quite a few palettes as I love eye make-up and my favourite, by far, is the Charlotte Tilbury Instant Eyes palette. It was expensive but it’s become by go-to palette and I’m touching pan on a few of the colours! I’ve put the Charlotte Tilbury Hypnotise palette on my Christmas list as it looks like a nice mix of day time and night time shades.

Definitely give urban decay primer potion a go! It’s literally the most amazing product to keep your eyeshadow nice all day! (Or a neutral MAC paint pot also makes a great primer) I am a bit of a shadow palette hoarder!
I would definitely second the suggestion of looking at MAC they have some amazing shades, and you can go in an pic what you want, or the Christmas collections usually have a beautiful shadow palette or 2 (but get in quick for those!)
On beauty bay check out Jeffrey star - his palettes are a bit out there but he has a few now and I’ve found the quality nice
In Superdrug, check out revolution - they have a massive selection of very very reasonably priced palettes, the pigmentations are normally reasonable and not as painful price wise if you only use half the colours.
ELF for the same reason (they have a good website, or some Superdrug’s carry it now, but I’ve never seen a great selection)
I have a Lorac 3 palette, and the Anastasia beverly hills modern renaissance - both gorgeous not sure where you can get in the U.K. but check them out if your going to the states anytime soon
