Mr & Mrs V's Disneymoon Food Report
Welcome to our food report, we hope you enjoy it. Just as a warning we loved almost everything we had so sorry if you find this boring , I hope you like the photos at least! Scott actually asked for the camera the first night we were home to take a photo of our dinner hehe. Got him well trained as a Dibber now!
We stayed at SSR for 16 nights with the DDP, popping off for a 3 night cruise on the Disney Dream and finally 2 nights at BLT to end our Disneymoon. So let's go back to the beginning ... Giraffe - Gatwick Airport We were staying at the Hilton the night before our flight, so arrived about 5pm and after a busy day travelling back from Natsy Noo's amazing UK reception and then packing and cleaning the house, we had skipped lunch and were starving so we walked over to Giraffe. This is the first time we have eaten here but it made a great start to our holiday. We started by sharing crunchy coconut shrimp with sweet chilli and lime dipping sauce, and chicken potstickers - fried chicken dumplings served with a soy chilli dipping sauce. We both preferred the shrimp but both were tasty and not too filling so we had room for ... A rodeo chicken burger - cheeseburger with grilled mushrooms, BBQ sauce and onion rings with lettuce, tomato and mayo - for Scott He enjoyed this, in particular the bun. And parmesan chicken scnitzel kiev for me served with garlic and herb butter, mash and a rocket salad. This was a massive portion ... I should be getting used to this ready for Florida! But I enjoyed it, the garlic butter added a nice taste, it was too big though so Scott finished it off. No room for pudding tonight but we enjoyed the nice relaxing start to our holiday! Hilton Buffet Breakfast For us, this is one of the highlights of staying at the Hilton. We love the breakfast! There is a wide variety of cereal, fruit, yoghurts, pastries and bread, cold meat and cheeses, then a hot buffet too with full english breakfast, pancakes, and a chef preparing eggs to order. In our opinion you cannot go wrong here, there is something for everyone and it has always been nice and hot and fresh for us. I started with a selection including bacon and pancakes ready for the US of A Followed by fruit Scott had a full english breakfast, then went back for extra sausages as he really enjoyed these. Nicely full we headed to check in!

Virgin Atlantic Plane Food
We both had the same dinner on the flight out. Tomato, cucumber and red onion salad (Scott doesn't eat salad so left this) which could have done with some dressing, diced chicken with cheese and leek sauce, garlic and thyme potatoes and creamed spinach. As far as plane food goes this was fine! The other choices were sausage and mash but we had too many for breakfast hehe or roasted vegetable pasta. Pudding was a mango and passion fruit GU cheesecake which I secretly hoped Scott wouldn't like so I could have his ... no such luck! Later we were brought skinny cow chocolate lollies but we must have eaten them before the camera came out, sorry! Then afternoon tea was cheese and onion sandwiches and a cupcake. I am not sure why they serve this as lots of people, Scott included, do not like cheese and onion! Scott will only eat cooked cheese lol. The cupcake was nice with a cup of tea as we watched Brave! Epcot Food and Wine Festival We wanted to see the Boys II Men Eat to the Beat concert tonight so after checking in at SSR we headed straight to Epcot and arrived in time for a couple of snacks...our first taste of the food and wine festival. We loved this festival! It was such a great use of snack credits and we came back at a later date to try some more but for tonight, we started with Argentina - Grilled beef skewer with chimichurri sauce and bpniato puree Lovely tender beef perfectly matched with the sauce, a big thumbs up already! Next we stopped off in Italy for Ravioli di Formaggia all Emiliana (Baked cheese ravioli with creamy beef bolognaise sauce, parmesan cheese and melted mozarella) Yummy! This was nice and creamy and had lots of tasty filling in too. We then took our seats for the concert, with one last snack to share ... Jalapeno cheese pretzel We loved this too! Scott was at first a bit apprehensive to try it as thought it would be too much of a strong jalapeno flavour, but it just had a nice kick. Boys II Men were amazing by the way Artist's Pallette - SSR We somehow were able to stay at Epcot to watch Wishes, and then pose for our first photopass photos on the way out. But that meant when we got back to SSR we were again hungry... We shared a QS meal at the Artist's Palette, a BBQ Pork flatbread This became a favourite during our stay at SSR, it was a nice combination of tangy BBQ sauce with pineapple and then a crunchy coleslaw too. We had a few bites of the brownie each too which was nice and moist, but it beat us in the end! Too big We did collect our refillable mugs here though, a very long day but a great start to our holiday!
