I’ve booked the Tides Inn for 2 nights next summer before we fly home from Miami. Really pleased with the price and no resort/parking fees!

Is that for 2 nights? I think we've paid £471 for 2 nights, which I actually think is really reasonable for a hotel right on the beach, with no resort fees or parking charges. Other hotels in the area I was looking at were charging £400-600 for 2 nights plus nearly $100per night resort fees/parking.

Ah that’s good to hear! Have seen it’s not too far to walk to a few bars/restaurants, and we booked the rooms with the private terrace. I think it’s exellent value considering what most hotels charge for resort fees etc!

Stayed at the Tides Inn in May this year for a couple of nights. It's nice, but don't be thinking it's a resort (hence no resort fees I guess!). It's an old motel with only a small number of rooms, small pool, etc. Location-wise it's very good - right on the a nice, quiet stretch of beach and just a 5/10 mins walk to the bars and restaurants. There is no breakfast offering anymore, but depending on how hungry you are there is a Publix just 5 mins away, or I'd recommend the El Mar Cafe for a traditional American diner breakfast!

We stayed at the Casa Boutique Hoel on Washington Avenue. Was cheap and cheerful, included a free breakfast and they also provide free beach towels and beds on south beach which is a 5min walk away. Also a short walk from 11th St Diner which is worth a visit.
We only stayed for one night but was fine for what we needed. |
