Never heard of them and therefore would not touch them with a barge pole!

That’s my opinion, which of course I am entitled to. I’ve not heard of Crystal Travel. I’ve read too many horror stories on here and other forums about booking flights only through unknown third parties - some of whom put immense pressure on people to book with them, only to not even book them on the flight they paid for and making last minute changes. If I were going to do it, I would be looking for someone reputable like netflights, Expedia etc or at least do the research first. And yes of course these companies could go under like TC, but is it really worth the increased risk and worry that booking with such third parties will inevitably bring? I personally think it’s better to pay a little more for piece of mind, but if others want to take that risk, then that’s up to them. OP do your research if you are seriously considering booking with them - look at the legal entity behind them and do some digging and check out the forums. You may find that it is one company trading as many different styles.

Thomas Cook were a reputable company though. There are so many dodgy ‘travel agents’ out there that will just bait and switch or take your money and run.
In answer to the OP, I haven’t heard of them either and I’m guessing the lack of responses suggests they’re not used often on here if at all. I would only book with one of the bigger sites (netflights, Expedia, lastminute) if I wasn’t booking direct. There’s a risk booking anywhere of course, which is why I’d only ever book flights with a credit card. |
