BA Extra Baggage
Hi
Can anybody help me? How do I pay for extra case on BA Manage My Booking? It tells me I can add additional baggage for £45 but cannot find anywhere that allows me to do this. I fly Saturday and can check in from Friday, do I have to add this when I check in on Friday? It seems strange that I can not add in now. Thanks Peter. |

It may be too late to book it?
Your account - manage my booking - scroll down to the drop downs which have contact details etc - select the dropdown for which flight you wish to add luggage - Select baggage - scroll down to 'pay for extra bags. If the option isn't there, then I go back to the point of maybe it's too late to purchase/book additional luggage.

Hi,
When I scroll down Select Baggage it gives the airport price as £45 but the pre Airport Price is blank. I assume that I now have to check my extra bag in and pay at the airport. When I checked earlier in the week it was the same, I did not realise you had to do this so far in advance. Thanks Peter. |

I'd be happy with the £45 I always have to pay £65! Maybe different airports

Remember that you can have a hand luggage case up to 23 Kg each, we used to pay, but now we each take an empty small one in our case, it’s surprising how much you can get in one of these

Disney Nanny DH moans at me on the odd occasions we travel together on the way home from Florida never mind when he's coming home alone he's got 2 cases right on 23 kg his rucksack is 23 kg and his lapt top case is his personal item
Then I repeat the process and yes I'm the 5ft women standing on the seat to put her over head bag in even if it's 10 kg I still need to stand on a seat to put a bag up I always wait till last to retrieve it though on the way home |

I paid for an extra bag via the manage my booking 3 days before we flew back. Pretty straight forward. Printed off the email I received in the hotel just for hard proof but wasn't needed.

we know we'll be coming back with 1 extra bag each and enquired about a bump up to WTP for the way home which gives you and extra checked bag - £49 each - jackpot
