onsite availability - cancellations?

Hi all! My first post, have already learned a huge amount on the forum!

So am looking to stay onsite at Disney (neither of us want to drive) and ideally wanted to stay at POFQ but it’s not available for our 2020 dates - does anyone know if rooms become ‘re-available’ often or is this pretty unlikely?

Options then would be either POR or CBR... or delay until 2021 as this will probably be once in a lifetime trip and don’t want to be disappointed with choice of resort! This is for 2 adults and 2 children currently 5&7.

Would be interested to know if people have got later bookings at their chosen hotels that have become available again?

They don't usually become available again if they're not showing. Are you looking to book it with the free DDP for next year, because the rooms have almost all gone as it ends very soon.
The next offer from November, is 10% off (no free plan) and some more rooms may become available for that.
(POR is a lovely resort, and a really nice slow 10 min walk along the river to POFQ where you can use the facilities).

Ah I see didn’t realise the offer ended soon good to know... POR does look great aswell!

Where did you hearg about a 10% off room deal from November? There is currently a 10% off deal running - it covers 4th October 2020 – 23rd December 2020 dining (these dates aren't covered by free dining) and finishes 5th November, the same date as free dining. Disney haven't announced the next offer on their website yet (assuming there will be one).

In my experience rooms can and do reappear. But obviously no guarantees they will before the offer ends

If you are going to book POR, be a little careful with your room choice as some rooms aren’t included in the free dining offer.
