Sorry to jump in, but I am hoping to book the tour for next year too. How was the pace of the tour? Did you get many breaks/time in the shade or AC? My mum is coming along and she cant cope in the sun or walking too fast.

We didn’t see any but there is the chance you could see Characters without their heads on etc, so for some it could really ruin ‘the magic.’ I’m sure your children will be happy to wait 2 years before they are allowed on it.

It was on a day the park opened at 9, so was fun to walk around Adventureland when it was deserted. Although it is 5 hours it is a gentle stroll with lots of rest stops. For us it was really good value (for Disney!) at $99 each, inc lunch. It is a bit odd that I didn’t get an email confirmation and it does not link to MDE so I had no proof that I had booked, apart from the charge on my monzo! Anyway, we were on the list so we got in! I agree you, very odd not getting email confirmation! I did write down a reference number which was lucky! We did the tour yesterday and we were not on the list! They checked the reference number and there had been a computer glitch which had cancelled our reservation in the middle of the night on the day we booked! There were no spaces on the 9am tour but we got to go on the 9:30am tour. It turns out the payment hadn’t been taken from our account and because it was Disney’s error we didn’t need to pay again! I hadn’t noticed because I had bought annual passes at the same time. The tour was great and the 9:30 tour had about 10 or 12 people (less than the others!) I’d definitely recommend it!

I’m with you my lad is 15 and wants to do this , he is under no illusion it’s a guy in a suit but loves looking at the detail in the parks . I do think 16 is excessive if I’m honest .

The maximum group number is 20, everyone has their own ear piece so you could be at the front or the back of the group which ever is the easiest for your daughter. If you arrange to go on the earliest tour the park is quiet and as you go through the tour you tend to go more behind the scenes as the park is become busy. There were breaks in the shade. No photography or videos were allowed - so I don’t know if this would bother your daughter. A lunch break at Peco Bills was at 10:30 for us on the 8am tour. We also rode two attractions with a very short wait. If you have any other questions just ask.

That's all correct. My ASD son would have found it too long and too much walking and not enough opportunities to go into the aircon. I guess it depends for each child.
