Yes that's right. It's the first night that isn't a booking with tickets and dining.

No you can’t. They expire at midnight on checkout day. To get free dining on the 2nd reservation, you’d need to buy another set of tickets.

We are here now & just done this although we didnt go straight to the parks when checking in to 2nd hotel. However the situation remains the same.

We were told that the dining credits should be on & ready to use (we checked in at 8am) & could get refillable mugs immediately.

We were however told that as the 2 bookings were overlapping that the magic bands *may* still be flagged as the 1st visit. The CM told us that incase this happens they have a workaround where you can be given a *99 number*.

This is basically just a note with a code on it that you give to the shop or restaurant you are using your magic band in so that the CM on the till can manually do the operation that the magic band is failing to do.

We never had to use the 99 code as the bands & dining credits all worked immediately.

The CM at checkin also told us that it would be no problem to just charge anything to the room (if the dining etc wasnt working) & then they could sort it the next day & exchange the credits at reception.

So, all in all, one way or another your credits will be usable straight away on 2nd hotel stay.
