Just be aware only some of the universal hotels give you fast passes when staying, so make sure you have book one that includes them in the price.

Thanks Unicorn. I’d priced it on the Hard Rock once I realised the cabana bay didn’t do them.
DH is now saying we should do Disney too before the older 2 get too old so now recalculating everything and deciding how important fast pass at universal is over Easter (I think very! ).

So after posting DH saying we should do Disney too, that’s what I’ve been planning for the last 6mths, however, I’ve constantly got the niggle that Disney will be so busy and we just won’t enjoy it. It’s such a lot of money to just go on 3 FP rides and take in the atmosphere every day. I don’t want to be constantly on my phone trying to arrange FP every day and getting the kids up early for rope drop every day to try and avoid queues.
Other than DH wanting to see Star Wars and DS3 loving lightning McQueen the older 2 just like theme parks they aren’t bothered about theming. I love Disney but have been before it’s the others that haven’t.
It’s so hard as the children don’t know we’re going and want to have everything booked before we tell them 🤯

Reading what you said I think doing universal/sea world and Busch gardens makes more sense.

Involve the kids, show them the options...

We have been to Orlando 10 times and 2 of them we didn't go to Disney, Although we had a great time on these 2 occasions we still felt we were missing something.

With a 3 year old I would go to Disney at some pont during the trip, if only the Magic Kingdom, as Universal is more for older kids. 3 year olds are people too!

What about 1 night and a 1 day ticket for disney?

We went last April and did Universal. Our last night MK had EMH so we booked 1 night at Pop Century, bought 1 day tickets and used the Magic Express back to the airport. To be fair MK was heaving and a fair bit busier than we had found Universal.

In terms of stuff for little ones at Universal, there is less but what is there is good, Suess Landings in IOA is fantastic and the Curious George water area is brilliant in the main park.

We enjoy all the parks but you can only do what fits with the budget you have and Disney is the money eater.

We done them all back in Feb, both mine 9 and 5 DS at the time loved Universal and Busch Gardens the most, so just getting the Orlando Flex ticket when we go back in 2021.
