Cot for a toddler
Hi I’m traveling to WDW in November with my family, including our 2 year old grandson and staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I’ve read conflicting reports concerning the cots they provide. He’s tall for his age. Has anyone had any experience with the cots for older children? Would we be better off hiring one?

The cots are actually like a Pack n Play - it really depends on how tall he is as to how comfy he will be.
Perhaps someone who is there now could measure one for you - they are always stored in the wardrobes of the Disney resorts. Sorry I can't help more - I was there last week and would have measured for you! Joa

I would hire one if you don't think that he will go in a bed with bedrails. They are OK but don't have separate mattress covers or sheets - we ended up giving up with them and putting our 1y old in the bed between the two of us rather than having him around loose covers in the cot. Best description I can find is touringplans/blog/2013/0...e-pack-n-play/, but they all are approximately the same size. We didn't even bother getting it out of the cupboard when we returned (2y4m ish) and put him straight into the bed.
