Interested in this as we typically go twice a year and with a toddler it would save the boredom of queueing.

Do they do the interviews on arrival in Tampa?

We fly in 3 weeks would this be enough time to get all the back ground checks down if we moved quick on our end?

I would say no it wouldn't be enough time to get the local checks sorted - some of the GE applications to US CBP are taking up to 12 weeks or more at the moment.

How long does the pre checks last before the interview has to complete? Think I read 6 months is that correct? But how long between the U.K. and USA checks? Is there a cut off?
Could we roll the dice on getting everything back in time but if something was delayed then hold off doing the next part until closer to our next confirmed trip? Chances are we shall go Easter time next year but nothing 100% confirmed as we watch out for cheap flights.

The UK check takes 3 days, then you submit your application online with the US - you have to wait then to be conditionally approved - currently taking about 20 weeks. When you get CA you then have to complete the process at a face to face interview within 365 days of receiving CA.
