Of your choices it would be the Bellagio for me. We stayed at teh Venetian and for us it was a bit too stuffy and full of rude people.
Our personal favourite from past stays is the MGM but i would love to try the Bellagio or the Cosmo if they were ever in budget. |

I’ve stayed in Venetian, palazzo and bellagio. The rooms in the Venetian and Palazzo are virtually identical- it’s the same hotel really. I preferred them both over the bellagio. One our trip last year I opted for Palazzo as it offered club rooms for very little difference to standard rooms and it was well worth the extra.

Long story but essentially A guy in a group of very rude people spilt a drink over my wife when I asked him to apologise (very nicely) he was rude and aggressive and I ended up having to knock him out.
I understand this could happen anywhere but this was right in front of security when I asked them why they let that happen the told me they thought I has it covered. The whole way it was dealt with was terrible. Venetian seems to attract groups of people like this. |

Right. I agree not a very nice thing to happen. We loved the room and service we received but didn’t spend a lot of time in the casino where I guess this happened? Don’t know if it’s because we go at quieter times and “winter” in Vegas so no summer crowds but everyone we encountered there were fine. Guess maybe a bunch of guys who had too much to drink?

We always planned to stay at the Venetian for our first visit next year but a friend who stayed there said it was lovely but she wasn’t keen on the location and suggested we book something more central so we have booked Ceasars palace. It’s on a flexible rate though so still keeping an eye out in case I change my mind!

Casinos have a distinctive vanilla smell as they pump in fragrance to counteract the smell of smoke. I occasionally go to Resorts World in Birmingham and they use the same scent there so it reminds me of our holidays to Vegas.
I've never stayed in a smoking bedroom but I think there are some. If you select non-smoking during the booking process then I expect you'll be fine. |

We stayed off-strip at the Golden Nugget in June, it was an amazing hotel and it backs onto Fremont Street, which is an awesome place! We preferred Fremont Street to the main strip, to be honest.
However, the only downside was that smoking was allowed in the casino part, so basically almost the whole of the ground floor. Don't get me wrong, I am happy to let people make their own choices of whether to smoke or not (and hubby is a smoker), but I really struggled with walking through the smog there all the time. It wasn't enough to put me off staying there again, but it was a close-run thing …..
