Mobile Best accommodation with no car

Hi everyone - so flights for next summer are booked and now I'm having dilemmas about best places to stay. I've had Avanti international and Blue Tree Resort both suggested to me by agents. Just wondering if anyone has any views on these or suggestions for others. It will be me & my 2 teenagers with no carhire, so close to restaurants etc.

Thank you in advance from a 1st timer 😊😊

Which parks are you planning to and how long in WDW and Universal respectively ?

Location of hotel etc will vary according to your plans, especially without a car.

Rosen Inn@Pointe Orlando on IDrive.
Plenty of restaurants, attractions nearby, buses to parks go from just outside the hotel.
3 pools, games room, little shop, restaurant, Starbucks all in hotel. Comfy beds, feels safe.

This does depend on the parks you are doing.

One option is on-site and possibly a split stay- so if you are doing both Disney and Universal you could do a week onsite in a Disney hotel and a week onsite in a Universal hotel. This will be the most expensive but zero need for a car as everything is on your doorstep, you never even need to leave the property if you don't want to.

A more budget friendly option is International Drive which is where the Avanti is (not familiar with the other hotel you mentioned). We like the area between The Pointe and Icon360 which the Avanti would fall into. The Avanti looks nice but check if resort fees are included in your quote or charged on top as they do charge them. I'd also look at the Rosen properties- as mentioned above there is the Rosen Inn @ Pointe which is cheap and basic. The Rosen Plaza is next door and much nicer, and often not much more expensive so I'd look at that first. There are also some 2 bedroom options like the Embassy Suites which are great if travelling with kids for a bit more room.

You can't go hugely wrong with anything in that area of IDrive. No need for a car but you will need to take a bus, taxi or uber to the parks. Plenty of restaurants, shops and entertainment within walking distance.

Neither of them are bothered about Disney so won't fork out for tickets unnecessarily. Universal is a must along with Blue Man Group , Aquatica and mayne SeaWorld.
Looking & reading up I think I'll look around international drive for easy transport options etc. We're there 11 days so also want a couple of days when maybe shopping or waterpark / pool.

I'm quite giddy about it all - I've always wanted to go but my ex wasnt interested whatsoever. So now it's just the 3 of us I thought sod it let's go 😊😊
