Mobile Would you/can you do this? Plus some questions

Looking at dates for next year and it’s looking like we could have booked a day earlier.
we have booked CBR and I don’t want to change this resort because we are all super excited about it. However there is no availability to book an extra night at the start of our holiday.
There is availability at the all stars resorts so we could stay there just for one night. I have just enquired on here to see if we could still use the magical express which we can (we won’t have a car at this point)

I think we can only check into CBR at 3pm? Could we leave our luggage there earlier? Check in etc?
When moving from the all stars hotel to CBR would we just use the resort buses?
If not, how would we get our luggage to CBR?
Our dining plan won’t start until we book into CBR but can you start using them before the 3pm check in?

My plan would be; arrive at all stars and collapse/sleep that would be the 8th (we are all fit for nothing after the long flight) then do our usual early morning at MK (with an ADR) leaving after lunch to check into CBR which will be the 9th and the tickets & DDP will kick in
we maybe better leaving luggage at all stars until then?
Could we start using our Disney tickets and the DDP the morning of the 9th? Even though we can’t check in until 3pm

The benefits of doing this would be to get the most out of our resort on our first day because we are so tired on arrival it’s a waste of evening if that makes sense

Very confusing lol

Disney will move your luggage between All Stars and CBR for you, so no need to worry about that. Just ask bell services.

If you check in online for CBR, then you can head straight to the parks and both your tickets and dining plan will be active that morning. No need to actually physically check in to CBR or wait until 3pm. Then after your day out, make your way to CBR to check in, get your room allocation and second set of magic bands. Your luggage should be waiting for you too.

Americans do this a lot as they get their magic bands sent to their home, so they check in online to activate their booking and head straight to the parks

Yes we did this last year , we had first night at All Stars (checked in at. 7am... ) room wasn't ready so left bags with the Bell and headed out to explore the resorts as we didn't have passes . Whiled away a few hours and had lunch overlooking the Lake at Wilderness Lodge . Room was ready at 4pm .
Next morning we checked out , advised the Bell we had left our bags in the room by the door as instructed and asked them to transfer them and got a Lyft to BWI arrived at 7am . To our surprise our room was ready including all our requests but it didn't matter as all we needed to do was check in to activate our Magic Bands with park passes and free dining (even if room wasn't ready we could have done this) and headed off for breakfast and parks. When we returned at 3pm our bags were waiting .
The bag transfer was brilliant , we just had a small day pack so could carry passports securely with us for the day had the room not been ready to pop them in the safe.
I'd recommend Lyft from All Stars as otherwise you'd have to take two buses ... but certainly let Disney move your bags (you can't take them on Disney buses anyway) the service is free. Just tip the bell a buck or two a bag.
We had a set of Magic Bands for each hotel , we booked All Star though Expedia as for one night they were much cheaper than booking with Disney but still came with all the perks.

Can the magic bands from 1st night be used to access park on the following day? Or do you have to collect new bands to access park? Thanks

why don't you just check in to an airport hotel for your first night?... then u can go back to get the magical express direct to cbr early the next day, pick up your bands, leave your bags there then head out if you want to. always seems a bit of a waste to have a 1 night stay in a Disney resort without getting the full benefits for the day prior and after.

Yes the original bands can be used. Any bands linked to MDE can be used. If you don’t care about collecting new MBs and you’ve checked in online you can go straight to your room as the room number will show up on MDE. We would have done this but wanted to opt out of housekeeping so had to go to the desk.
