Annual pass blockout advice please
We are planning 2 trips next year and currently have 21 day tickets for our April/May trip. We’re wanting to upgrade to AP but arrive on 15 April so our first couple of days will be gold blackout. If we upgraded at the end of our hols in May would we be able to get a gold pass if we had been in the parks on those first few days?
Also if we use the mini golf option would that also affect it? Thanks |

According to a guy in the know on the other forums yes you can upgrade to gold as long as the point you actually do it is outside the blockout period and less than 14 days since ticket first used.
As for the Golf. I have heard mixed reports. Normally if you use any extras you can inly get the platinum but golf is not actually included on that pass. Personally i would not use the golf as it could risk the upgrade

DS had used the mini golf with his brother. We were still able to upgrade him to Gold DVC AP.

There's numerous threads on the other forum where people have used their ticket in the block out period (xmas etc) and still upgraded to Gold, no issues. They say if you are in the block out period, do it your last day as you can't come back in. I read three or four threads on people saying they'd done this, as I thought same as Gavvy reports before I read those threads.

So think we should upgrade towards the end of our split stay trip (May) so we can return for food and wine run. We have 21 day tickets as we’re having a week in Marco Island after the Star Wars run. Not sure if we may take a chance with the crazy golf unless I hear differently. Thank you again for advice.
