We've been going more than 10 years and rarely do just the parks. A few of the things we've done have included
Miami,
Gulf Coast (Rotonda, Bradenton, Naples),
Homossassa
Anna Maria Island
Naples
Keys
Road trip to Savannah and St Augustine
New York and Washington then Gulf Coast.
Road trip to Smokey Mountains
Road trip Miami and up Atlantic coast, across to Busch Gdns then further up gulf coast, back down to Miami via Naples.

We usually go 4-5 weeks but only 3 this year due to son's A-Level results.

This year we're looking at Rotonda plus a road trip to either Panhandle or Amelia Island/ Jekyll Island/Hilton Head or maybe Charleston. Only booked on Tuesday so early days!

I was wondering about a trip to the panhandle, but not researched it yet, do let us know what you decide!

We decided to do San Francisco last year with Yosemite and Grand Canyon detour then Vegas.
San Fran was ok but as others have said the homeless situation is not nice. Great place but now we’ve seen it I doubt we’d go back. Didn’t get to Yosemite due to fires so we had to do a quick rethink and rebook and ended up in Monterey Bay. Now this was stunning, you must go there!
Then we headed to Grand Canyon which was utterly amazing. Then a week in Vegas which was just crazy but in a good way.
Glad we’ve done it but won’t be going back, apart from Monterey and the canyon. Those would be worth a second viewing.

If you do head back to the Canyon, try and work in a side trip to Zion NP. Absolutely amazing place and trekking up “the narrows” was a highlight of our trip. Monument Valley also spectacular - only needs one night there but worth the trip.
