We stayed at Villa Azure Cape Coral, owners have their own Facebook page and also on homeaway/p733912. Amazing property and owners communication was first class

We stayed at this villa a few years ago, really liked the location and the owner was great to deal with.

This looks great but unfortunately it's booked for our dates. Thank you for posting

We have stayed twice now in Cape Coral, both times booked through Home Away. Had beautiful villas sorry don’t know how to do a link !
We have had to pay the electricity for our time there but we’re given an allowance on both visits. Each time we haven’t had large bills to pay, although tbh I’m conscious about the amount we use whilst we are there.
Hope you find something you like

Scotty, after the stay, I can absolutely recommend Cape Coral but not that particular villa. We had problems with both the dishwasher and the tumble-dryer. The rep and management company, Dorit of Top-Florida were at best useless. To cap it all off, we were charged for all the electricity we used despite her original communications stating that there was an allowance.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm sorry the villa had it's issues - the villa is booked for our dates so luckily we didn't book it. The electricity charge is very annoying - I don't get why they just don't include it within the rental charge.

I'm glad you enjoyed the Cape Coral area - do you have any particular recommendations for places to visit/eat?

I'd recommend Ford's Garage, either in Fort Myers or the branch at the Miromar outlet mall. Rum Runners is good for either lunch or dinner but I'd make a reservation at the weekend ( rumrunnersrestaurant/contact-us/ ). For breakfast, try Mel's Diner on Pine Island Road, Over Easy on Sanibel or One Perfect Cup on Matlacha.

Bowman's beach on Sanibel was almost deserted when we were there - just perfect. Only us and the dolphins. The Edison and Ford estates are definitely worth a half-day. Just take your time and drink in the views. A little bit more off-beat is Pine Island Flatwoods Preserve. For comfort, take closed-toe shoes. It's a chance to wander an undeveloped bit of Florida, so unlike anything in Orlando. The last recommendation would be Good Time Charters in Fort Myers (goodtimecharters/). We did the afternoon dolphin cruise and enjoyed every minute of it as we saw two pods of dolphins, calf-nose rays, ospreys and frigate birds.
